Fraternity and Sorority Life Student Specialist
Position Title: Fraternity and Sorority Life Student Specialist Student Status: Work Study Optional –You are not required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position. Work Location: Springfield Campus Department: PSU Student Engagement Hiring Range: 15.00 Sponsorship Information: Applicants must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Department/Employer Operating Hours: 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday Hours per week required: 10-15 Description of Primary Duties: Assist the FSL Councils and FSL main account with marketing projects. Provide support in coordinating and executing major events such as the AFLV conference, annual FSL Leadership Retreat, FSL Awards Banquet, Panhellenic recruitment, and other special projects. Assist the Assistant Director of Student Engagement for Fraternity and Sorority Life or Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life with all extension and expansion projects. Create and manage all materials used for Orientation Programs and Admissions events such as showcases, visit days, SOAR , Bear Notes, etc. Post at least once a week on the Admissions app ZeeMee. Process forms and paperwork such as community service hours, event registrations, educational and philanthropic reports, etc. Help coordinate and attend Fraternity and Sorority Life Presidents’ Meetings. Meet with the Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life on a regular basis. Attend biweekly meetings with FSL staff team. Perform other duties and functions for the Office of Student Engagement as assigned. Required Qualifications: Enrolled at Missouri State University as a full-time undergraduate student. Maintain good academic standing (2.5 GPA ) and disciplinary standing with the University. Ability to work 15 hours per week during the Spring and Fall semesters. Proficient knowledge of applications in the Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Qualifications: Sophomore or junior standing. Prior leadership experience on campus. Skills in multi-tasking, problem solving, organization, listening, and facilitation. Experience in marketing or public relations, programming, and website management.
