Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Activity Director to join our team at Brentwood Place Four, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Certified Activity Director, you will play a vital role in designing and coordinating a wide range of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities to improve the physical, emotional, and cognitive well‑being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes resident engagement, socialization, and overall well‑being.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify resident interests and preferences, and develop programs that cater to their unique needs.
  • Coordinate and lead activities such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, parties, and special events.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including healthcare professionals, to ensure that activities are aligned with individual resident care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of activity participation, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Develop and manage activity budgets, scheduling, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Certified Activity Director (CAD) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreational therapy, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–1 year of experience in activity direction or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail.
