
Constituent Services Representative/Caseworker

The Office of Senator Risch is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Constituent Services Representative/Caseworker to join our team in Coeur d’Alene, ID. In this role, you will provide essential advocacy and coordination to ensure the well‑being of families in Idaho.
PRIMARY DUTY
acts as liaison with federal, state and/or local agencies for Idahoans and to respond to correspondence and oral communications.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
answers casework correspondence and oral communications from constituents and acts as liaison with federal, state and/or local agencies;
communicates with city, county, state and/or federal officials to apprise them of constituents’ problems and to assist in achieving the resolution thereof;
screens cases and determines whether they are appropriate for reference to other area offices within the state; and
prepares periodic reports for the Casework Director on pending casework activities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
regular, predictable, and punctual in‑person attendance required for performance of duties, including working with confidential constituent information and in‑person meetings with constituents;
has ability to communicate effectively with Senator and office staff, Members and representatives from Senate and House offices, constituents, outside organizations and others;
has ability to handle difficult interactions with members of the public, including constituents, with tact and diplomacy;
work is public‑facing and requires frequent interaction with members of the public, including constituents, in a prompt, courteous and tactful manner;
assist with administrative duties within the office; and
regularly uses typical office equipment, software programs, and methods of communication, including, for example, a computer, e‑mail, telephone, smartphone, photocopier, etc.
