We are currently seeking an

AVP of Small Business Credit Operations . As the

AVP of Small Business Credit Operations , you'll oversee the daily operations of Nusenda's small business lending function with a primary focus on credit underwriting, portfolio management, due diligence, and loan documentation. You'll ensure timely and accurate evaluation of loan applications, credit analysis, and risk assessment for conventional and SBA loan programs while maintaining strict adherence to all applicable federal regulations. You'll be responsible for managing underwriting workflows, coordinating with loan officers and operations staff by reviewing complex credit requests, and sound credit decisions. Additionally, you will provide leadership, performance management, and guidance to a credit/ops team.

What You'll Do:

Oversee, coordinate, and assist in the daily activity of the Small Business department(s) to include assignment of duties and special projects, monitoring workload and productivity, planning and prioritization, problem resolution, and develops recommendations for change or improvement.

Responsible for daily operations of the Small Business Credit and Operations teams, with a focus on credit underwriting, due diligence, loan documentation, and portfolio management.

Oversee workflow management, including monitoring productivity, and ensuring timely completion of underwriting and documentation processes.

Resolve operational challenges, and develop recommendations to improve efficiency, compliance, and member experience.

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and sound credit practices while maintaining portfolio quality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance risk management, and support strategic initiatives that strengthen the Credit Union’s lending operations.

What You'll Need:

Five years to eight years of similar or related experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field

Key Skills and Experience:

Advanced experience with SBA lending systems E-Tran and SBA Servicing Portal.

Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.

Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to work with multiple levels of the organization.

Development, performance management, training, and employee counseling skills essential.
