Property Assistant - Property Control
To oversee the physical movement and storage of university surplus property and submission of property disposal documentation. High School Diploma/GED. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Valid driver's license required. Knowledge of property disposal procedures. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Basic verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Time management skills. Ability to maintain records. Responsibilities: Completes scheduled movements of university surplus property. Ensures the accurate completion of paperwork for the transfer or disposal of property. Assists with physical inventory. Retrieves and prints data pertaining to property movement and disposal; maintains applicable records. Complies with workplace safety and environmental and/or infection control standards. Physical and Environmental Demands: Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, frequent handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent travelling to offsite locations, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying more than 100 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, constant driving, frequent kneeling, frequent pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, frequent twisting, and frequent walking.
