Job description:
Assists Director with planning, developing, managing, updating, and evaluating all program aspects Prepares data and written materials for state/Board reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits Helps identify and secure outside resources for the nursing program Assesses clinical agencies ability to meet course objectives Ensures Facility Approval Applications are completed and approved before clinical rotations begin Monitors timely completion of student theory and clinical evaluations by faculty Maintains evaluations from students, clinical sites, and faculty after each rotation Supports strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives Continuously works to improve instructional quality Ensures timely completion of clinical assignments, rotation matrices, and calendars Verifies faculty consistently follow policies for student clinical experiences Regularly reviews student learning materials Ensures student records are maintained per policy Submits required program reports/forms to Director on time Stays current with new technologies and safety regulations Provides advising and planning support to prospective students Confirms students complete all graduation and state licensing exam requirements Teaches (theory or clinical) approximately half the time Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Masters or higher degree from an accredited institution (with coursework in nursing, education, or administration) At least 3 years leading a nursing program At least 3 years full-time faculty experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing program At least 1 year teaching in an online learning environment At least 4 years continuous full-time RN direct patient care experience in geriatrics, medical-surgical, mental health/psychiatric, obstetrics, or pediatrics within the last 5 years Current, active California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) license Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills Action-oriented, innovative, and adaptable Proficient in Microsoft Office Able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines Why is This a Great Opportunity:
