We may have the perfect opportunity for you! As an Associate Proposal Manager, you'll assist with the bid submission process from initial contact through contract signing for our cutting-edge products and services, including winning. You'll coordinate proposal activities in accordance with the request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Your duties will also include a review of proposals to ensure the appropriate themes are incorporated.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities

Monitor government acquisition databases (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, DACIS) to identify upcoming pursuits and opportunities that align with the company's capabilities, past performance, and strategic goals

Use third-party tools like GovWin, Bloomberg Government, and similar platforms to conduct targeted searches across federal, state, and local acquisition systems

Conduct keyword searches and refine datasets to identify contracts that align with company capabilities, past performance, and goals

Keep our key word database up to date with new key words targeted at new and emerging spanets and customers

Track changes in solicitations, including amendments, updates, and Q&A releases, to ensure bid responses remain compliant and aligned with government requirements

Establish and maintain databases of active, forecasted, and expiring contracts to enable proactive business development decisions

Lead efforts to collect, assess, and analyze open-source intelligence regarding competitor strengths, weaknesses, key pursuits, recent contract wins, and industry news to inform capture strategies

Analyze economic trends, legislative changes, and shifts in government funding priorities that may impact competitors' spanet positioning or strategy

Update the internal tracker to ensure the list of opportunities being pursued remains up to date and aligned with status changes throughout the opportunity lifecycle

Host bi-weekly meetings to get updates from the Business Development and Strategy team on the status of active pursuits. Ensure the sheet remains updated daily

Qualifications You Must Have

B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience

Typically, 2+ years of business experience, which includes 1-2 years of proposal experience.

A higher-level degree that includes proposal experience and writing may substitute for professional proposal experience

Ability to utilize proposal management software and AI tools

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery

Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others

Ability to work within time constraints, have a flexible schedule, be ready to meet changing deadlines and priorities to capture proposal needs

The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer

Self-starter and a problem solver; must have the ability to see the big picture and implement changes as required

Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of team members and coordinate project tasks to ensure milestones are met

Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Experience preparing Pricing Volumes to include work breakdown structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE), including government contracting proposal processes and procedures

Understanding of one or more of Adobe Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat

Skills in the use of MS Word, i.e., formatting, outlining, graphics integration, for the use of proposals

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
