Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Maintain accurate department records to ensure safe, efficient and economical transportation services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Three (3) years of experience in the field of Student Transportation, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to develop strong team approach to enhance morale and productivity; Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; Ability to use reasoning skills to solve problems; Ability to facilitate small and large group meetings; Ability to enter written data onto forms
Minimum Experience
One (1) year clerical experience
Computer Literacy in Windows, Google, and 10-Key
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepare and update transportation employee personnel files
Enter requisitions in computer for purchase order assignment and process payables for payment
Maintain up-to-date and accurate budget records and balances
Substitute for dispatcher in his/her absence
Type correspondence as necessary
Perform date entry on all employees
Filing and updating all transportation paperwork
Set up interviews for Director of Transportation
Process all transportation applications and coordinate new employee training
Prepare presentations for director (PowerPoint, overheads, copies, etc.) drug & alcohol screening as needed
Maintain accurate employee list with 3rd Party Administrator for drug & alcohol screening company
Process the ordering and of supplies for department (co-op)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date district vehicle records
EQUIPMENT USED:
Computers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, 2-ways radios, cell phones
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control; maintain effective communication with staff and supervisors; use of reasoning skills to solve problems; complete work within time schedules and meet deadlines. Frequent sitting, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling; light lifting and carrying in sometimes awkward positions
