
Mortgage Loan Processor

General Summary (What Is Done And Why)
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for creating and maintaining effective relationships with the Mortgage Advisors. The Mortgage Loan Processor will focus his/her time on effectively managing the potential members mortgage request in a timely manner and ensuring all required information is received and retained in accordance with UFCU procedures. The Mortgage Loan Processor is also responsible for being an additional point of contact for the member throughout the process as requested by management, while meeting or exceeding the service level agreements.
Essential Functions, in Priority Order
Prepare and review all loan documents and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Time: 25%
Ordering and gathering all necessary documents from outside sources to complete the loan file. Resolves any issues determined by underwriting and submit loan file for final approval. Time: 25%
Maintain effective levels of communication with the Mortgage Advisors and the Members as directed by management. Time: 20%
Remain current on regulatory updates and completes mandatory training in relation to this as directed by management. Time: 10%
Evaluate departmental processes and procedures and recommend improvements. Time: 10%
Provide support to other areas as requested by management. Time: 5%
Maintain a working knowledge of all Credit Union products and services. Time: 5%
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience In addition to education requirement: Minimum of one year experience in financial industry or real estate required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Physical Demands Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, and lifting large file boxes occasionally, but most work is done from a seated position. Must have mobility to move throughout the Credit Union, as necessary. There is potential for eyestrain from reading the computer screen. Deadlines, workloads, and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.
Working Conditions Internal – Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
External – Some travel may be required; however, information on environmental conditions is not available.
