Summary The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing, technically skilled professional responsible for leading Camfil's filtration solution initiatives in commercial, industrial, and AG-1 nuclear applications. This role bridges technical expertise with consultative selling, delivering engineered solutions that meet customer specifications, industry standards, and business objectives. The ideal candidate brings a high level of filtration knowledge, strong project leadership skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into high-performance solutions. This position is critical to ensuring technical integrity, customer satisfaction, and alignment between client demands and Camfil's capabilities, while championing internal collaboration across engineering, operations, and customer service teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical resource for customer inquiries, from pre‑sales discussions through post‑installation support.

Review and interpret customer specifications to design filtration systems that meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements (including AG‑1 nuclear standards).

Develop and deliver engineered solutions, including product selection, sizing, and performance modeling.

Create and manage technical quotations, drawings, and specifications while verifying customer input and needs.

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to confirm feasibility, alignment with production capabilities, and adherence to ISO 9001 and QMS requirements.

Lead the development and coordination of technical proposals and bid packages for complex customer applications.

Act as the liaison between the customer and Camfil's internal departments (engineering, production, quality), ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues and delivery updates.

Support cross‑functional initiatives by translating customer voice into actionable solutions across operations, engineering, and R&D.

Track, manage, and report on customer requirements throughout the sales cycle, ensuring technical accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Maintain detailed knowledge of Camfil and competitor product portfolios, staying current on market pricing, applications, and performance benchmarks.

Manage conflict resolution with professionalism and accountability, driving root cause identification and long‑term resolution of customer concerns.

Drive continuous improvement in documentation, product presentations, and customer education materials.

Be highly communicative and interactive, both with Camfil Organic Sales Teams, as well as external representatives of Camfil's products.

Interact with external contractors and suppliers as needed to create a complete solution for end customers with rollups for total pricing.

Understand commercial implications of sales pricing as it relates to commissions and list price multiplier.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AG‑1, and quality management systems.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, customer drawings, and industry regulations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical content to non‑technical audiences.

Skilled in creating proposals, business correspondence, and technical documentation.

Comfortable working in both individual and team settings, including with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Strong organizational and planning abilities, with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize across multiple tasks.

Capable of managing complex technical challenges with confidence, data‑driven decision making, and customer‑centric thinking.

Self‑motivated team player with a proactive mindset and a desire to deliver world‑class solutions in a dynamic environment.

English proficiency is required; the ability to speak Spanish is a plus and considered beneficial for cross‑functional communication.

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project engineering—preferably in air filtration, HVAC, or nuclear sectors.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating understanding in production operational processes.

Hands‑on ERP/MRP experience (e.g., MACPAC, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
