This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Job Summary Join a large growing construction company supporting development of training materials for staff in engineering and other departments representing 500+ employees. Apply your talents in instructional design, training organization and delivery, writing, content development, and communication with subject matter experts.

Essential Functions

Apply solid instructional design skills, effective learning principles, and creativity to course design to engage employees in the learning process, encourage participation, and meet the requirements of the adult learner

Collaborate with team members to identify, contribute, and recommend new ideas or methods for enhancing our curriculum

Work with subject matter experts to quickly assess, design, develop, and maintain instructor‑led, web‑based, and workbook training materials that are educational and effective

Develop learning assessments and provide ongoing feedback and recommendations

Evaluate and enhance the overall content design of existing ACCO curriculum

Stay up‑to‑date and expand knowledge on instructional design and industry trends and related technology

Analyze content, target audience, job tasks, and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies and define learning objectives

Evaluate new and existing technologies to determine best capabilities to support the department while aligning with industry trends

Collaborate with internal departments to stay abreast of current standards and best practices for content management and integration

Manage LMS file structure, course consistency and quality

Creates, maintains and communicates project/training plans to ensure timely delivery of training materials and programs

Education And Experience

5+ years of experience or 2 years of experience and a Bachelors in instructional design, instructional or educational technology, curriculum development, or related field

Demonstrated system and ability in gathering information from subject matter experts

Prior video editing experience preferred but not required (such as Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro)

Experience using motion graphic editing software preferred but not required (such as Adobe After Effects)

Experience working with software that outputs SCORM files is preferred but not required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to work individually with limited oversight, as well as part of a highly collaborative team

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi‑task

Demonstrated instructional design skills, including audience analysis, needs analysis, development of scope, design specifications, performance‑based objectives, assessments, and curriculum development

Physical Requirements

Must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

You are a responsible person with the ability to multi‑task. You understand that regular & routine attendance is required.

Travel O – 5% of the time to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or to project/customer site(s).

Competitive Wages $65,000 to $88,750 annual salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job‑related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
