Waldinger is hiring for a Marketing and Proposal Manager to join our Marketing and Communications team in Des Moines!
Job Summary Collaborates with business leaders in identifying winning sales strategies, creating eye‑catching proposals, developing supporting marketing materials, and establishing a repeatable process for continued success.
Responsibilities
Advanced Proposals Creation: Develops, updates, and manages comprehensive proposal packages. Compiles, documents, and standardizes project specifications, plans, and technical reports. Ensures proposal material is consistent with the requirements of the RFP, client, sales strategy, and corporate branding guidelines.
Templates: Generates and designs proposal templates that incorporate library content strategically relevant to the individual RFP response. Builds standard and reusable proposal content such as team bios, project spotlights, and many other frequently requested sections.
Content Translation: Translates complex technical concepts into clear and understandable content.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborates with stakeholders to gather detailed information and ensure the accuracy of technical content. Facilitates information flow among all the stakeholders and drives schedule.
Knowledge Management and Process Improvement: Maintains and manages the company’s document control system to ensure easy access to all technical documents. Implements and promotes best practices for technical writing and documentation within the team. Continuously seeks ways to improve documentation processes and tools for efficiency and quality.
Content Management: Builds a library of high-quality proposal content and initiates the collection of new materials regularly. Leads the collection of project and personnel photography and coordinates their storage with the Corporate Communication team.
Requirements
5‑7 years of proposal writing experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Business, or related field
