Technical Documentation Specialist

The Technical Documentation Specialist role is aligned within the Product Development discipline and is primarily focused on addressing the documentation of our connectivity product portfolio. Reporting to Engineering Management, you will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Suppliers to ensure our products are documented and released accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include the creation, organization, and maintenance of product documentation, creation of production work and assembly instructions, and collection and validation of vendor supplied data. Responsibilities

Create and maintain product datasheets, specifications, and supplier documentation. Create clear and accurate assembly instructions for new products. Partner with global, cross‑functional teams to maintain, improve, and align documentation and database systems. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance. Draft user manuals and installation guides for automation products with support from application. Collect, standardize, and validate vendor‑supplied data. Assist with the production of samples and prototypes. Manage engineering documentation and data within SAP. Maintain and update product information within a Product Information Management (PIM) system. Ensure accuracy and consistency across all documentation and systems. Required Skills and Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or related field. Basic to intermediate CAD experience. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented, and deadline‑driven environment. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritize workload and be committed to continuous process improvement. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems; undertake self‑directed tasks when necessary. Good organizational skills to manage a variety of different tasks. Extensive knowledge of PC and Windows software to include Microsoft Office products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or related field. Exposure to manufacturing or production environments. Experience with PIM and PLM systems. Familiarity with regulatory standards such as UL, CE, IEC, or NFPA. Experience communicating and coordinating with product development teams. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Full‑time position. Reporting in person to office location in Suwanee, GA. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel

The position requires on average 5% overnight travel. Travel is usually outside the local area and overnight. Travel is primarily domestic. Physical Demands

Position requires the use of hands – twisting, pulling, and pushing. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
