Job Summary

The Outside Sales Representative will act as a spokesperson for the company in the marketplace by promoting product lines, processing capabilities and targeting business opportunities for sales growth. They are responsible for establishing face to face contact with existing customers, following up on potential leads, and identifying new business opportunities. In addition, the Outside Sales Representative will monitor industry trends to identify emerging markets and collaborate with management to develop plans to utilize markets to expand revenue. They are responsible for development, growth and maintenance of new and established customers and ensuring customer satisfaction. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Job Function Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers. Maintain current knowledge base of pricing to negotiate and close orders. Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with existing customers and prospects daily. Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers. Provides historical records by maintaining records on assigned territory and customer sales. Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally. Sell the company's products or services to customers within assigned territory. Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth. Update client information in the company database. Collaborate with management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company's marketing presence in their assigned territory. Monitor competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific need. Generate and review sale reports with management. Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and convert those prospects into customers. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems within parameters provided, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management. Attend trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients. Act as a backup for the account representative when necessary. Required Skills Sales skills and experience preferred Ability to learn and successfully operate our ERP system Excellent Customer Service Skills; strong negotiation and presentation skills Proven track record of prospecting Strong interpersonal skills Team focused Must be a self-starter and highly motivated; ability to work well with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
