
Outside Sales Representative - Vermont

The Role You Will Play:
As the Outside Sales Representative for Vermont, you will take ownership of a $2.8–$5M territory with a strong focus on increasing lumber sales and strengthening dealer relationships throughout Central and Northern Vermont. This is a true “hit the ground running” opportunity — the expectation is plug-and-play execution with minimal oversight.
You will:
Manage and grow relationships with independent lumber dealers and building material customers
Drive profitable sales growth across lumber and specialty building products
Spend 4 days per week on the road meeting customers (with 1 home office day; 1 in-office visit per month)
Deliver market feedback and competitive intelligence
Represent a branch that operates with an entrepreneurial, business-owner mindset Travel approximately 3–5 nights per month within the territory
This role reports to the Regional Sales leadership team and is ideal for a motivated, high-energy sales professional who thrives in a competitive lumber market and enjoys autonomy.
What You’ll Need:
5+ years of building materials experience (lumber required)
Proven outside sales success calling on dealers
Strong listening skills and ability to provide thoughtful feedback
Self-motivation and the ability to operate independently
High school diploma required
Compensation includes a base salary of $48,000–$62,000 plus uncapped commission, with $100K+ OTE potential, full benefits, and an auto allowance through a Motus program.
