Job Overview Ticket scanners will be responsible for providing high‑quality customer service, scanning tickets and checking in guests at Dillon Amphitheater events.
Hours This is a summer seasonal, part‑time position with hours varying from three (3) to six (6) hours per event, and one (1) to three (3) events per week, beginning early June through late September. Must be available to work flexible shifts and days, including nights and weekends. Ticket scanners must be able to work a minimum of 21 ticketed events.

Job Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to the public, event attendees, coworkers and partners at all times. This includes having professional interactions with customers, providing accurate information and having general knowledge of Town of Dillon events and happenings.
Responsible for the accurate scanning and confirmation of tickets and registrations.
Assist patrons in looking up orders and providing troubleshooting assistance.
Assist with the ingress and egress of Dillon Amphitheater patrons, employees, staff and vendors.
Duties may also include setup and breakdown of venue, which may include, but is not limited to, staging and set up/teardown for events and recreation programming, tents and gates set up and teardown, and setting up/tearing down security equipment and concessions areas.
Duties may also include ID checking, participant registration and check‑in, bag checking, light security, assisting with concessions, box office and merchandise sales, and assisting with recreation events and activities.
Maintain cleanliness of venues before, during and after an event. Ensure all work areas and facilities are clean and safe for participants, guests and staff. This includes picking up, sorting, and moving trash and recycling; and cleaning up bathrooms, portable toilets, and other messes.
Adhere to event safety standards through crowd management training (provided).
Responsible for responding to and communicating incidents and emergency situations, including, but not limited to: First Aid, severe weather, and missing child events.
Provide support to other facets of the events and recreation operations as assigned by supervisors.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Activities
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Exposure to sun, heat, cold, dust, precipitation, fuel, grease, trash and other conditions and chemicals commonly found in an events and recreation environment.
Exposure to loud noise, large crowds, and an active concert environment.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical activity such as setting up and dismantling equipment.
Requires use of a mobile ticketing system, radio, and other venue‑related technology.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual regularly works in outside‑weather conditions. The individual frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The individual is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and may experience the risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to very loud. Must be able to work in a loud noise environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to wear a radio earpiece during shifts. Hand‑eye coordination is necessary to operate a computer, tablet, mobile radio and mobile phone.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The individual frequently is required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The individual is also required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Equipment Used Mobile radio, phone, computer, point of sale and ticketing systems, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams software, timekeeping and scheduling software, and printer/copy/fax machine.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Self‑motivated, innovative team player who can also work well individually.
Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and timely manner, both verbally and in writing, when dealing with Town of Dillon employees, citizens, guests, customers, participants and vendors.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other departments and agencies.
Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to function and make good decisions in the absence of a supervisor.
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to operate a tablet and mobile phone for ticket scanning, and be able to troubleshoot basic technology and Wi‑Fi issues on the fly.
CPR/AED and First Aid Certification are preferred. Training provided.
Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time.
Ability to speak and understand the English language proficiently.
Must have a flexible schedule and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, late hours and holidays.
Submission to a background check.
