Job Summary Leads strategic engagement efforts between University Information Technology Services (UITS) and institutional stakeholders. Drives technology alignment with University priorities, identifies and facilitates high‑impact initiatives, and guides the overall department strategy to deliver business value and service excellence. Mentors department staff, oversees complex partnerships, and acts as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Leads the strategic engagement between IT and business units to ensure alignment with institutional goals

Develops and maintains executive‑level relationships across academic and administrative units

Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, identifying opportunities for innovation and transformation

Guide and mentor junior BRMs to support relationship and value management across campus

Establish and refine BRM practices and processes to enhance strategic impact and service delivery

Lead large‑scale initiatives and represent IT in executive steering committees and governance councils

Advocate for business partner needs in IT planning, resource allocation, and prioritization

Translate complex business needs into actionable strategies and proposals with measurable outcomes

Monitors service and project delivery outcomes to ensure value realization and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Experience

Five (5) years of experience in IT‑business liaison roles, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or senior stakeholder engagement position.

Certified Business Relationship Manager (BRMP® or CBRM®) Certification

Preferred Educational Qualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience

Experience aligning technology solutions with institutional strategy

Travels between Kennesaw State campuses and locations as required to maintain effective relationships

Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks, or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines while maintaining strategic focus

Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of service management, business analysis, and value realization methodologies

Experience in complex project and portfolio environments

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
