Senior Receiving Specialist Overview:

PlanITROI is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Senior Receiving Specialist to support the daily operations of our warehouse receiving department. This role is responsible for leading by example while ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and processing of incoming IT assets and materials.

The Senior Receiving Specialist works closely with warehouse leadership to ensure shipments are received efficiently, inventory records are accurate, and receiving operations meet company quality, safety, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong warehouse receiving experience, attention to detail, and the ability to guide team members in a fast-paced production environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Youngsville, North Carolina.

Primary Responsibilities

Receiving Operations

Serve as the lead point of contact for the receiving team, supporting daily operations and ensuring efficient workflow.

Lead by example by actively participating in receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipments.

Verify all received shipments, including checking Bills of Lading (BOL) to ensure accuracy in pallet count and piece count.

Sign off on BOLs in accordance with company policy:

BOLs with piece counts under 300 must be counted before signature.

BOLs with pallet quantities must be signed subject to count.

Assist in coordinating the unloading of shipments from incoming trucks, ensuring proper handling and safe processes.

Generate orders for non-economical assets or recyclable items (e.g., scrap, batteries, etc.)

Oversee the weighing and labeling of pallets, ensuring each pallet is labeled with job load and date received, and accurately update the inventory management system.

Conduct quality inspections and checks on received shipments to ensure they meet company standards.

Support the allocation of tasks and workflow for receiving team members based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and product types.

Verify received packages against purchase orders to ensure correct material and quantity.

Conduct daily quality checks to ensure proper categorization and accurate entry of model and serial numbers into the system.

Assist in maintaining and documenting receiving procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Help train and guide receiving team members on proper procedures and safety protocols.

Allocate units to appropriate warehouse locations and complete transactions using RF scanners.

Maintain organized records to support internal functions such as accounting, inventory control, and purchasing.

Ensure aisles and docks remain clear and safe, maintaining compliance with company safety standards.

Comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, R2V3, and NAID regulations and procedures.

Assist with training team members in receiving procedures, safety protocols, and system processes.

Lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements and Experience

Hands-on experience in a warehouse receiving role, preferably as a team lead or senior associate.

3–5 years of experience working with computer hardware, IT assets, IT consumer goods, ITAD, or manufacturing / re-manufacturing environments.

Experience supporting or guiding a small team in a warehouse environment.

Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, R2, and NAID, regulations preferred.

Experience in inventory management systems and RF scanners.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Forklift certification preferred.

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability production environment.
