
Proposal Manager

Role Akerman is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to work with the firm’s lawyers, Client Development Department leadership, and Client Development Managers in creating compelling, differentiating proposals and pitch materials. This is a critical role for a key player to join the firm and become a central figure in communicating the firm’s vision to current and potential clients and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate must possess:
5+ years of experience in law firm marketing, including leading the development of RFP responses
Project management experience, including creating timelines and guiding teams’ adherence thereof
Ability to lead a diverse group of professionals through the drafting process
Quick thinking to address problems and work with the team to find solutions
Excellent writing skills
Confidence and ease in interacting with all levels of the firm
Patience and tenacity in a dynamic environment
The Proposal Manager will work in tandem with the firm’s Content Center, Client Development Managers, and Director of Pricing to execute on proposals with the goal of communicating the firm’s strategic value and infusing our responses with the enthusiasm our lawyers bring to serving our clients.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing or a related field. 5+ years of experience in client development / marketing also required, preferably with a law or professional services firm. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required as well as tenacity and patience. In addition, candidates should have strong research and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure, as well as the ability to thrive within the firm's highly dynamic setting.
Job Type Full-Time; Monday - Friday (Hybrid)
Salary Range The firm’s anticipated hiring range for this position is $110,000- $125,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including position, geographic location, education, training, and experience.
