Job Summary The Director of Recruitment provides strategic leadership for Weber State University’s recruitment efforts in alignment with the institution’s mission of access, opportunity, and student success. This position leads the development and execution of data-informed recruitment strategies, supervises recruitment staff, and oversees management of the prospective student funnel from inquiry through application and admission.
In close partnership with the Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment, the Director translates institutional enrollment goals into targeted market strategies and measurable outcomes. The role drives decisions regarding recruitment territories, travel, events, and vendor partnerships based on return on investment, enrollment performance, and capacity. The Director leverages CRM and enrollment data to guide strategy, holds the team accountable to clear performance metrics, and ensures responsible stewardship of institutional resources while cultivating a collaborative, student-centered culture committed to expanding access and strengthening enrollment outcomes.
This position is required to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Five years full-time college employment experience in academic advisement, registration, admissions, financial aid, student services, or enrollment services, or equivalent experience
At least one year of related supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Dynamic presentation skills
Knowledge of higher education recruitment best practices and enrollment management principles
Experience with implementing and utilizing CRM in conjunction with SIS systems to make data-informed decisions on the enrollment pipeline
Self-motivated and ability to manage and motivate students and professional staff
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
