The Commercial Construction BusinessDevelopment Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new businessopportunities for the company’s commercial construction division. This roleinvolves building strong relationships with clients, developers, architects,and other industry stakeholders, with the goal of increasing the company’smarket share and revenue. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the commercialconstruction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven trackrecord of generating leads, closing deals, and meeting sales targets.
KeyResponsibilities:
BusinessDevelopment:
Proactively identify and pursue new commercialconstruction projects and clients through market research, networking, andoutreach.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads,focusing on commercial real estate developers, general contractors,architects, and public sector clients.
Build long-term relationships with potential andexisting clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networkingopportunities to stay informed about market trends and make newconnections.
ClientRelationship Management:

Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and bidstailored to client specifications.

StrategicPlanning:
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop andimplement a business development strategy aligned with company goals andmarket conditions.
Work closely with the estimating, marketing, andproject management teams to ensure alignment on project capabilities,scope, and pricing.
Provide market intelligence to guide the company’scommercial strategy, including competitive analysis, market trends, andcustomer feedback.
Set and achieve measurable goals for revenue growth,lead generation, and client acquisition.
Marketingand Branding:
Work with the marketing team to develop targetedmarketing campaigns, promotional materials, and digital content aimed atcommercial construction clients.
Represent the company at industry associations andevents, enhancing brand visibility and credibility within the commercialconstruction sector.
Identify opportunities to submit bids for commercialconstruction projects through public tenders, RFPs, and RFQs.
Reportingand Analysis:
Track and report on business development activities,including leads generated, proposals submitted, and contracts won, usingCRM software or other tracking tools.
Provide regular updates to senior management on salesforecasts, market opportunities, and potential risks.
