THE ROLE:

The Social Media Manager is responsible for growing and engaging the social media audience to maximize monetization of DIGITAL MEDIA COMPANY’s channels. This individual will lead the social media team, develop comprehensive content and engagement strategies, and oversee the execution of campaigns across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate will have influencer experience and a strong track record of increasing audience growth, driving engagement, and leveraging influencer partnerships to elevate brand presence. They will also collaborate closely with editorial and other internal teams to produce compelling content, analyze performance metrics, and stay ahead of emerging social trends. Responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning

Create comprehensive plans to grow DIGITAL MEDIA COMPANY’s social audience and drive monthly visits on Digital Media Company.com Oversee the execution of social media campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions. Content Strategy:

Develop the content strategy across all social media platforms. Work closely with editorial stakeholders to roll out monthly digital cover stories and features across social. Make daily recommendations to and work closely with the editorial team to optimize content for various social media platforms (weighing in on headlines, providing social media best practice guidelines, etc…) Participate in Integrated Marketing RFPs from agencies and clients ensuring there is a robust social plan to drive views and engagement of sponsored content Leverage the full suite of content tools to increase DIGITAL MEDIA COMPANY’s audience and engagement metrics including: UGC, interactive content, social listening response plans, influencer partnerships, media partnerships and collaborations, etc… Create social strategies to drive awareness, affinity, buzz, excitement and engagement of franchise programs Work with and independently of DIGITAL MEDIA COMPANY Studios to develop social content series Community Engagement:

Manage and oversee communication with followers, including responding to comments, messages, and mentions. Fostering connections with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders. Team Management:

Supervise the social team including content creators, designers, and other team members involved in producing posts. Oversee the team’s content calendar to produce consistent cadence of post and ensure cultural relevancy Manage the day to day posting, editing, and optimization of content on multiple media platforms including FB, IG, X, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn, etc… Review and approve posts to ensure alignment with brand messaging and guidelines Coordinate with editors and talent to ensure social plan and needs are captured in talent agreements Data Analysis & Reporting:

Report and monitor content performance metrics like engagement rates, reach, and conversions to evaluate the success of campaigns and develop company best practice guidelines. Analyze data to identify trends and inform future strategies Present performance reports to stakeholders to make data-driven recommendations Platform Management

Manage multiple social media accounts and ensuring consistency across platforms Keep up-to-date with platform updates, trends, and algorithm changes Employ social listening to drive DIGITAL MEDIA COMPANY’s cultural relevance and address any negative brand feedback or crises in a timely, professional manner Training & Collaboration

Train staff and ensuring they understand best practices for social media use Work with marketing, PR, and other departments to integrate social media efforts into broader organizational goals Innovation

Identify and experiment with emerging platforms and formats to reach new audiences Quickly respond to viral trends or changes in audience behavior to keep the brand relevant QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with digital content management systems At least 5 years of experience editing written content. At least 5 years of experience creating digital content. Strong knowledge of CMS platforms, such as WordPress and others Understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design Excellent communication and collaboration skills
