Job Summary : The Advisor / Enrollment Services Representative provides comprehensive advising and enrollment support services to prospective and current students from admission through graduation. This position supports student success through admissions, advising, enrollment assistance, retention initiatives, and referrals to campus and community resources while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
Minimum Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, or a combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and competencies
Preferred: Master's degree
Minimum Required
Experience:
Two years of general clerical and administrative support experience
Preferred: Two years of experience in career coaching and academic advising
Preferred: Two years of experience in higher education
Core Duties and
Required Knowledge:
Provides advising and enrollment services, including admissions, registration, academic planning, and graduation processing.
Maintains accurate student educational records and academic plans.
Monitors student academic progress and identifies students at risk of academic difficulty.
Assists students with transfer planning, degree planning, and academic policy interpretation.
Demonstrates working knowledge of student retention strategies and best advising practices.
Demonstrates working knowledge of admissions, advising, and student success policies and procedures.
Demonstrates familiarity with the Texas Success Initiative (TSI), and related systems.
Strategic Vision and
Program Development:
Supports institutional retention and completion initiatives through proactive advising and intervention strategies.
Assists in implementing student success initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
Participates in recruitment and outreach activities to support enrollment growth.
Collaboration:
Works collaboratively with faculty, financial aid, the student experience, and administrative departments to support a seamless student experience.
Serves as a resource and referral point for tutoring, scholarships, financial assistance, and community support services.
Represents Hill College at recruiting and outreach events as needed.

Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for light work.
