Business Analyst Specialist

Job Summary: The Business Analyst Specialist will support the delivery of the New gTLD Program by developing and optimizing processes and tools to manage the evaluation and processing of New gTLD applications. Additionally, the Business Analyst Specialist will serve as a support role to key subject matter experts and process owners in the delivery of the program. This role will be part of a larger team of Business Analysts who will serve in various roles in the program temporarily based upon resource gaps or needs as workload shifts.

Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Support Program Leads and Subject Matter Experts in delivery of the New gTLD Program. • Develop processes and detailed procedures to document ways of working, where current gaps in process documentation exist. • Develop tools to support efficient and effective execution of team activities, in alignment with larger system capabilities to ensure streamlined delivery of processes. • Assess and become fluent with policy requirements, process documentation, procedure documentation, and system functionality in assigned work areas in order to provide operational support and to provide additional subject matter expertise to key stakeholders. • Identify and implement process improvements and tools to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. • Support governance and escalation processes through assessment of issues, risks, and open questions. Develop documentation and other materials as needed to drive resolution. • Provide operational support to service owners through research of topics, drafting materials, management of issues, etc. • Coordinate and communicate effectively across multiple project teams and functions to support delivery of processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions) • Process assessment and documentation. • Ability to quickly learn new processes and ways of working. • Ability to assess, design, and optimize business processes. • Data analysis and excel • Familiarity with process optimization methodologies such as Kizan, Lean, Six-Sigma, Business Process reengineering, Total Quality Management, SIPOC, etc. • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. • Knowledge of advanced Excel functionalities (e.g. PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query) to manipulate, analyze, and visualize complex datasets, driving insights that inform strategic decisions Education Requirements: • Bachelor's degree Experience Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analyst role • Experience working in the domain name industry is a plus. • Experience in operational role, business analyst on a large technology or business transformation project is preferred. • Experience working in global companies across multiple countries, cultures and time zones is preferred. Languages → Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required → ICANN is a global organization that values diversity; preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in additional languages besides English

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: • Frequent trip to Los Angeles Office required. • International travel may be required to support ICANN related meetings as requested for lengths of 7-10 days for each trip, approximately three times per year, likely on different continents • Comfort level with an international work environment that requires availability at times outside normal business hours.

Targeted Base Salary Low:

60,000

Targeted Base Salary High:

82,000
