CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Architect (Container/OpenShift) within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Cloud Architect (Container/OpenShift) designs, implements, and manages Red Hat OpenShift container platforms for enterprise clients, focusing on scalability, security, and high availability. Key responsibilities include architecting OpenShift clusters, establishing containerization strategies, developing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance, and providing technical guidance for cloud-native transformations. This role requires strong experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, related infrastructure, and excellent collaboration and communication skills to drive successful container adoption. Your future duties and responsibilities: Architecture Design: Design and implement end-to-end OpenShift solutions for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Platform Implementation: Lead the installation, configuration, and tuning of OpenShift clusters, including namespaces, networking, storage, and security policies. Containerization Strategy: Develop strategies and standards for containerizing applications and platforms, aligning with business needs. DevOps & CI/CD: Define and implement automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or other CI/CD tools. Integration: Integrate OpenShift with enterprise systems, such as monitoring tools, identity providers, and existing CI/CD pipelines. Security & Compliance: Ensure the OpenShift environment meets security and compliance requirements, including configuring role-based access controls (RBAC). Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and product management teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of containerized applications. Technical Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical direction, documenting architecture decisions, and transferring knowledge to client and internal teams. Migration Strategies: Assess legacy systems, perform gap analysis, and develop strategies for migrating applications to the OpenShift platform. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Journeyman: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 1 to 3 years of experience Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired OpenShift Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift architecture and operations. Container Orchestration: Deep understanding of containerization technologies and Kubernetes. CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and related development and deployment tools. Cloud-Native Principles: Knowledge of cloud-native architecture principles and best practices. Networking & Storage: Experience with container networking, storage solutions, and software-defined networks. Security & Monitoring: Familiarity with configuring security features and implementing logging and monitoring systems. Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills. Junior: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 3 to 5 years of experience Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired OpenShift Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift architecture and operations. Container Orchestration: Deep understanding of containerization technologies and Kubernetes. Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200,000.00.
