Senior Estimator

Lead the development of detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects. Review, validate, and approve final bids prior to submission. Collaborate with estimators, foremen, subcontractors, and management to refine scopes, pricing, and production assumptions. Assign incoming sales leads to the estimating team within 24 hours. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Participate in bid presentations and pricing negotiations. Ensure vendor partnerships support competitive pricing and reliable performance. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure materials and resources. Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and execution plans. Work with management and foremen to track job progress, productivity, and financial performance. Manage estimating and project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports. Serve as a steady leader during the company's transition to new ownership. Mentor estimators and supervisors with a focus on developing best-in-class talent. Maintain a forward-looking project pipeline in coordination with management. Align estimating strategies with workforce availability and productivity goals. Meet defined sales and performance targets. Support implementation of CRM, project management, and job-costing systems. Stay current on roofing industry trends, products, and competitors. Report to ownership on estimating performance, project outcomes, and business health. Remain available for emergency situations related to worker safety or critical operations. Experience in estimation, construction, bidding, and construction management. Proficiency in estimating software and specific roofing industry experience. Ability to chase and win work from day one. Strong understanding of project management principles and field production metrics. Proficient with MS Office and construction software, such as Procore. Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial roofing experience. High school diploma required; technical training in roofing or construction management preferred. Strong sales acumen with demonstrated ability to identify and close opportunities. In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods. Ability to manage competing internal and customer demands. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts. The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
