About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Federal and State Grants and Sponsored Programs to lead its strategic efforts in securing funding that aligns with the institution's mission and enhances its capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive grants pipeline, with a focus on early detection of competitive opportunities. This role involves serving as the central authority for grant intelligence, proposal leadership, and ensuring compliance and quality in all grant-related activities. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in building and managing relationships with federal and state program staff, as well as with regional partners, to strengthen the institution's competitiveness and implementation readiness.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years' experience in grant development, including significant leadership in federal and/or state proposals. The role requires a proven track record in writing and leading successful grant proposals, as well as the ability to manage multiple complex deadlines and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to effectively use technology tools in the grant development process. A commitment to high-level customer service, leadership, and a total dedication to student success is essential. The position demands a professional with a strong work ethic, the ability to work non-standard hours, and a passion for the mission of the institution.
