Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Analyze project proposals, blueprints, and other documentation to determine time, cost, and labor requirements. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information. Develop and maintain a database of cost information and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with clients to discuss project budgets and provide value engineering solutions. Monitor changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly. Prepare detailed bid proposals and participate in the bidding process. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all estimating processes.
