Placement Specialist
to join our growing team in

The role is responsible for supporting the agency’s marketing initiatives by building and maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers. This role includes managing the binding of coverage, collaborating closely with underwriting teams, and ensuring the seamless transition from submission to binding. The ideal candidate will work with producers, account managers, and underwriting staff to ensure timely and efficient handling of client submissions, while adhering to agency processes, policies, and Quality Control Guidelines.
How You Will Contribute
Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers while gaining a comprehensive understanding of their various insurance products, including rating plans, programs, and, specifically, workers' compensation loss-sensitive plans. Reach out to carriers as needed to address issues or concerns, as directed by the Marketing & Sales Enablement Leader.
Participate in carrier meetings & events, including after-hours events, for the purpose of relationship building and staying atop changes in the market
Market new or renewal accounts by preparing insurance submissions which will include applications, loss runs and any other pertinent information on the account
Submit and follow up on the insurance submission to the insurance carriers for quoting
Review coverage options and make recommendations that meet client needs
Negotiate the pricing and coverage options on the new business and renewal accounts.
Prepare insurance proposals reflecting coverages and premiums to submit to clients and prospects.
Manage workflows to assure quality controls and deadlines are met.
Transfer completed accounts to assigned Account Managers after coverage is bound, ensuring a smooth handover.
Distribute and track submissions, documenting all marketing activities
Organize marketing materials of insurance carriers as a resource for the agency as directed by Marketing & Sales Enablement Leader
Organize company contract files and contingency files as directed by Marketing & Sales Enablement Leader.
Licenses and Certifications:
P&C License
Skills & Experience to Be Successful
5 years insurance experience
Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial lines insurance coverage
Experience with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Office Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
