
Email Developer

The Email Developer is responsible for building, optimizing, and executing email campaigns to deliver engaging and effective communications.
This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance email marketing performance, create visually appealing and personalized content, and ensure adherence to email best practices.
The ideal candidate is technically minded, detail-oriented, and able to organize and deliver work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and optimize end-to-end email marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with digital marketing teams and stakeholders to align on the email calendar and manage assigned projects.
Analyze performance of past campaigns to identify improvements and share insights with teams and leadership.
Partner with technical email development teams to enhance capabilities, streamline processes, and improve outcomes.
Create presentations highlighting email performance, wins, and learnings for stakeholders and leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in email marketing or related fields.
Experience working with email marketing platforms (Responsys, Silverpop, MessageGears, SendGrid; Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred).
Knowledge of email testing and optimization best practices.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to partner with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of project management tools (Jira preferred).
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HTML and CSS coding for email development.
Experience designing mobile-first and responsive email templates.
Experience with tagging and tracking tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics preferred).
Experience with third-party email tools such as Litmus, SparkPost, or Movable Ink.
Basic proficiency in AmpScript or similar personalization languages.
Understanding of SQL (preferred but not required).
Knowledge of compliance principles such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
