Job Summary: The Business Performance Analyst supports the Project Controls organization by designing and delivering advanced analytics, reporting solutions, and data visualization tools to support operational and project performance insights. This role focuses on developing Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that enable leadership teams to monitor trends, measure operational performance, and drive data-informed decisions. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders across project controls, finance, and operational teams to extract and analyze data from enterprise systems such as SAP and Business Warehouse, transform the data into meaningful insights, and deliver executive-level reporting. This role also supports document management and collaboration tools, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, while contributing to analytics strategies and process improvements that strengthen enterprise data capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting operational and project performance analysis.
Extract, transform, and analyze data from SAP, Business Warehouse, Excel, and other enterprise systems.
Deliver executive-level analytics and visualizations to leadership teams including Directors and Vice Presidents.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across analytics and reporting outputs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business data requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
Provide training and support to team members on Power BI tools and analytics best practices.
Administer and support collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
Simplify and improve SharePoint resource pages and document management systems.
Participate in analytics strategy development and contribute to project planning initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in analytics, software development, or reporting roles.
Experience supporting enterprise software or large-scale project environments.
Experience developing and supporting reporting systems and analytics tools.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience working within utility or infrastructure organizations.
Experience supporting project controls or project management environments.
Experience integrating analytics tools with enterprise scheduling platforms.
Required Skills:
Power BI dashboard development and reporting
Data extraction and analytics using SAP and Business Warehouse
Advanced Microsoft Excel analysis
Preferred Skills:
SharePoint administration and collaboration tools
Data visualization and business intelligence strategy
Project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Maxavera
Data integration across multiple enterprise systems
Stakeholder reporting and executive-level presentation
Additional Skills:
Advanced Excel formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and graphs
Data integration from third-party applications and enterprise systems
Document management system administration
SharePoint site collection management and permissions administration
Analytics strategy and reporting process improvement
Data validation and quality assurance for reporting systems
Project reporting and operational performance monitoring
Training and support for analytics tools and platforms
