REQ-03678***If you are an internal associate, please login to Workday and apply through Jobs Hub.***## **Job Purpose**## The Corporate Tax Specialist is responsible for supporting federal and state tax compliance, reporting, and tax planning activities relating to Jackson National Life Insurance Company and certain affiliates.## **Essential Responsibilities**## * Prepares federal, state, and local tax returns.* Prepares statutory and GAAP income tax provisions and other documentation to support tax reporting in internal and external financial statements.* Assists in gathering documentation and preparing correspondence to tax authorities for tax audits and to respond to issued notices.* Maintains and updates the tax compliance calendars.* Assists with researching federal and state tax matters.* Assists with the tax analysis for other special projects.## **Other Duties**## * Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.## **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**## * Strong attention to detail.* Effective verbal and written communications skills.* Ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines.* Ability to collaborate with Tax and other internal department colleagues effectively .* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.## **Qualifications*** ## Bachelor's Degree , preferably in Accounting or Finance, required.* ## Master's Degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred.* ## 0-2+ years of experience in public accounting tax and/or corporate tax preferred.* ## Federal, State, and local tax experience preferred.* ## Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.Jackson is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
