Position Overview
BLT is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Analyst to support the Asset Management team in the financial analysis and operational oversight of a portfolio of commercial properties. This role will focus on property-level financial analysis, lease analysis, cash flow modeling, and asset performance reporting. The position is based in Stamford, CT and is in‑office.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Asset Management team in monitoring and improving the financial and operational performance of commercial assets
Maintain and update ARGUS Enterprise models, including rent rolls, lease assumptions, and property‑level cash flow projections
Develop and maintain property‑level cash flow models to analyze asset performance and forecast financial outcomes
Prepare financial analyses related to NOI performance, leasing activity, and portfolio trends
Perform lease analysis, including evaluating lease structures, escalation clauses, renewal assumptions, and tenant financial impact
Analyze the financial impact of new leases, renewals, and tenant turnover on asset cash flows
Support asset managers in evaluating leasing strategies and their impact on property performance
Assist with annual property budgets, reforecasts, and variance analysis
Monitor actual performance against budget and identify key drivers of variance
Build and maintain Excel‑based financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
Prepare asset‑level reporting for internal management, ownership groups, and lenders
Assist with financial analysis related to acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and asset repositioning
Track capital projects and analyze projected return on investment and impact on NOI
Support underwriting and investment analysis as needed
Qualifications
1–4 years of experience in commercial real estate (asset management, acquisitions, investment, or real estate finance)
Hands‑on experience with ARGUS Enterprise
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience performing lease analysis and property‑level cash flow analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
