Rental Sales Manager

What You’ll Do The following duties and responsibilities are requirements for this entry level sales position:

Aggressive Active sales calls on prospective Customers.

Review weekly Turn Down Report and daily utilization report to identify areas needing more rental sales attention.

Review each Rental branch marketing plan, driving the outside sales and inside telemarketing efforts in conjunction with the branch marketing efforts.

Work with Region Manager to establish rental pricing parameters based upon utilization and ROI.

Provide evaluation and feedback to each branch on rental sales performance.

Handle the branch rental position in one branch and back fill other branches as needed.

Travel to markets within our footprint and grow business opportunities.

Drive Rental Margin and Revenue Results

Monitor weekly and evaluate monthly to show sales performance vs. goals.

Evaluate by branch for feedback and corrective action.

Track month to month to monitor, measure, and establish benchmarks for setting goals.

Check branch rental rates weekly to target vehicles falling below required monthly margins.

Contact the Region Manager and Branch Managers for corrective action. Set follow up plan to confirm adjustments have been made to the deficient rate.

Development and Training

Excellent phone skills

Telemarketing skills and comfort.

Proper use of CRM

Proper communication with shop on rental equipment.

Proper billing practices and procedures.

Proper vehicle check- in and check-out procedures.

What We’re Looking For The following are the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this entry level sales position:

Must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

College degree or equivalent preferred; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and peers.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
