LMS Investment Management is seeking a seasoned property management professional to join our team as a

Resident Account Manager . This role is responsible for managing resident accounts, overseeing collections and financial processes, and supporting the operational and financial performance of the community. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while working collaboratively with site and corporate teams.

Resident Account Manager Skills, Knowledge & Personal Characteristics

Experience in multi-family property management, particularly in leasing, resident accounts, or financial administration

Strong computer proficiency and experience with property management software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills

Self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Ability to build strong working relationships with peers, supervisors, and corporate support teams

Commitment to professionalism, accountability, and safety

Essential Functions

Implement and manage efficient

rent collection processes , ensuring timely payments and accurate record keeping.

Proactively manage

past‑due accounts and collections , following company policies and legal guidelines.

Oversee collection of

outstanding balances from former residents .

Manage the

eviction process , including preparing notices, coordinating with legal counsel, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Prepare, submit, and track

insurance claims

related to property damage or liability incidents.

Monitor and manage

past resident payment plans .

Generate

renewal proposals

for approval and distribute approved renewal notices to residents via print and email, ensuring documentation is attached to resident accounts.

Execute

monthly financial close‑out procedures , including account reconciliation, reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of resident financial data.

Maintain accurate

resident and financial records

within property management software.

Process invoices, payables, and other financial transactions as applicable to the asset.

Prepare and generate

financial and operational reports

as required.

Conduct

post move‑out unit walks

and document resident damages.

Complete

security deposit accounting

in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure compliance with all

company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations .

Collaborate with the

Community Manager, Regional Manager, and other team members

to support property operations.

Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
