Assignment: Intervention Specialist

Location: Columbus, OH

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Through the end of the 2025–2026 year

Contract Length: 13 weeks (with continuation through end of year depending on contract structure)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Position Overview The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to students in kindergarten and first grade. This role focuses on intervention services and collaboration with instructional staff to plan, implement, and monitor individualized programs. Responsibilities may include specialized instruction, intervention delivery, progress monitoring, and participation in team meetings.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations

Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

Preferred certifications:

Standard Elementary Teaching

Standard Secondary Teaching

Standard Special Teaching

LBS1 or comparable Special Education endorsement (preferred)

Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice

Current CPR certification, if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray, if applicable

Current health certificate (per contract or state regulations)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
