Position summary:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Showroom Manager plays a critical role in sales effectiveness of the New York City team. We are looking for an “All In” person to take ownership of the showroom, ensuring it is design forward, extremely well organized for impromptu client visits and planned showroom events. The Showroom Manager is responsible for providing inside sales, presenting products to local designer’s, keeping the showroom space/sample library organized and running showroom events. This position is primed for future growth. The work environment is fast paced and dynamic.
Responsibilities Showroom Management
Open and close showroom daily
Perform daily checklist to ensure the showroom is clean, books are organized, samples are returned, food is fresh
Set-up and manage showroom events (occasional evenings and weekends)
Create and implement showroom displays
Responsible for the facility to coordinate utilities, maintenance and janitorial contracts and needs
Maintain housekeeping
Comply with Building Regulations, Environmental Regulations, and safety rules
Manage budgets and administration with RSD
Event Planning
Work with AE’s/RSD to coordinate catering, marketing materials (such as invitations), and vendors for events from 8 people to 200 people for annual major event
Coordinate Lunch n’ Learn and other events for AE’s
Coordinating/planning/executing day of showroom events
Sales Support
Present information of all brands clearly, accurately, and professionally
Clearly communicate Mission Zero, Seven Fronts of Sustainability, Climate Take Back
Present product information to local designers
Assist and qualify opportunities from walk in clients
Create customized marketing materials as directed by Account Executives
Marketing
Generate traffic into the showroom, develop and implement plans to maximize sales
Create a social media presence and cadence with Account Executives
Educational requirements
Four year college degree in Design or a related field
Skills and experience
3-5 years sales experience in a retail/design environment preferred. Will consider a background in Interior Furniture and Finishes, Flooring, Fashion, Hospitality and Event Coordination
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, verbal and written
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent customer relationship skills
Demonstrated organization and follow-up skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
Demonstrated Design Experience Preferred
Demonstrated ability with Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, PowerPoint, Excel
Physical demands
Occasional lifting and moving of less than 50 lbs.
Occasional travel

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $68, 826
Maximum: $120,446
