Pipe Crew Foreman

Harris-McBurney Company is looking for foremen to lead pipe placing crews on water/sewer projects. Candidates must be able to provide complete supervision and responsibility for the job site field operations including daily production, costs, safety, organization, and labor & equipment management. deadlines. A strong background in sanitary sewer, waterline, and storm sewer is required. Candidates must meet the following requirements: * Minimum 3 years of experience as a foreman in pipe & utility work * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to prepare work plans, schedule, and direct work crews * Strong knowledge of plans and specifications * Understanding of working safely and OSHA requirements * Proficient skills with lasers, line & grade * Knowledge of deep excavation and dewatering is a plus * Ability to grade and level trench bases; cover pipes with earth or other materials. * Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth. * Tend pumps. * Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels. * Connect pipe pieces and seal joints. * Ability to install and repair sanitary, sewer, storm and pressure pipe systems. * Experience with both new site developments and existing municipal systems. * Perform other job duties as assigned. * CDL license is preferred * Pass pre-employment screenings, including drug screen, criminal background, and I-9 verification Harris-McBurney Company has been in business for over 80 years and offers employees benefits including paid holidays, 401(k) plan, and health insurance.
