Versant Health: Making Healthy Vision a Reality for Everyone

What are we looking for? The Director, Distribution leads the end-to-end receipt, warehousing, and distribution of eyewear products, including frames, cases, and accessories. This role sets the strategic direction of the distribution center (DC) by establishing policies, procedures, and initiatives to successfully achieve objectives and key results (OKRs), ensure timely delivery, and support company financial objectives. The Director provides leadership on complex, cross‑functional projects and leverages deep expertise in global transportation, logistics, and compliance to align distribution operations with broader business strategy.

Where you will have an impact

Lead all Activities within the DC

Ensure P&L and fiscal responsibility in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures

Identify and implement innovative process improvements to enhance DC operations, increase efficiency, and lower costs; Evaluate and recommend emerging trends and technologies in the eyecare industry for integration into current processes

Ensure compliance with government import regulations

Maintain a proactive approach to vendor relations to achieve cost savings and improve operational effectiveness

Design and launch innovative programs to optimize revenue growth

Ensure a customer‑centric approach to meet the needs of both internal and external customers

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and adjust lab efficiency and effectiveness

Lead projects to deliver integration and innovation initiatives within scope, time, and budget constraints; Employ project management methodologies to plan, execute, and track projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives; Report project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT, procurement, and vendors

Collaborate with IT and other internal teams to integrate laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other technologies effectively

Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to enhance lab operations and efficiency

Oversee the returns process in the warehouse, ensuring accurate handling, timely credit issuance, and proper system reporting of returns

What’s necessary to do the job?

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required; Focus on operations management preferred

7+ years of experience operating in a high‑volume manufacturing/fabrication environment, warehouse, or distribution center management required

Strong understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle and frameworks required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelors

The wage range for applicants for this position is [$130,000.00 to $140,000.00].

All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
