Summer Communications Strategy Intern As a

Communications Strategy Intern

at Bader Rutter, you will learn to craft and execute communication strategies that drive client success, elevate brand reputation and solve business problems. Your role will involve assisting with the development of channel and content strategies. You will gain hands‑on experience and visibility into the Communications Strategy planning process, working alongside experienced professionals who are eager to help you grow and learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to Communications Strategist throughout the agency

Collaborate with cross functional teams like Media, Marketing Effectiveness and Strategy to support go‑to‑market strategies

Help craft channel and content strategies based on strategic briefings that inspire and inform tactical planning

Continuously seek to understand industry, category, and cultural trends that could impact client businesses or their customers

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Natural curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

Ability to translate data and briefs into clear, compelling communications strategies

Collaborative team player who supports and enhances team ideas

Advanced communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, non‑verbal)

Active listener with high emotional intelligence

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Strategic Communications, Marketing, Mass Communications, or a related field

Previous internship experience preferred

Hourly rate is $18 for current students and $20 for post‑grads

Intern should be in greater Milwaukee for the summer and plan to be in‑office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
