Role Summary Director, R&D Finance - FP&A responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for assigned Development Functions, delivering high‑impact financial analysis, and guiding decision‑making across OPEX, headcount, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for assigned Development Functions.

Oversee monthly close activities, including accruals, reclasses, and variance analysis.

Deliver high‑impact financial analysis and insights to support decision‑making for OPEX, headcount, and strategic initiatives.

Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial reports to R&D and Finance leadership.

Collaborate with business partners and FP&A colleagues to ensure alignment and completeness of financial submissions.

Drive process improvements and leverage financial systems (e.g., SAP) to streamline data collection and reporting.

Support and/or lead ad‑hoc projects, scenario modeling, and business case development.

Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and proactively address risks and opportunities.

Manage, mentor, and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and growth.

Qualifications

Required: 12+ Years with BS/BA OR 10+ Years with MS/MA or MBA.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.

Preferred: 12+ years of relevant FP&A experience with increasing responsibility; biotech/pharma or R&D finance experience strongly preferred.

Preferred: Proven track record of supporting business partners and driving financial performance.

Preferred: Experience with US GAAP, planning/ERP systems, and financial reporting.

Preferred: People management experience a plus.
