
Marketing Manager, US Wholesale

Position Summary
The Marketing Manager of US Wholesale is a high-impact role designed to sit at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and Retail Execution. This individual is responsible for leading the strategic "Better In-Store" experience, managing complex retail project lifecycles, and ensuring Skullcandy's brand and financial objectives are realized across all US Wholesale partners.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Retail Project Management
End-to-End Execution:
Lead the development, procurement, and deployment of high-impact retail fixtures.
Vendor & Agency Management:
Oversee relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., BDS, Turnkey, etc) to ensure projects are delivered on time, under budget, and to brand standards.
Operational Agility:
Navigate complex merchant transitions and store layout changes, particularly within Big Box environments like Walmart and Best Buy.
Sales Enablement & Channel Growth
Retail Partner Integration:
Act as the primary strategic connector between Product and Wholesale Sales, translating NPI (New Product Introductions) into retail-ready assets.
Custom Product Solutions:
Ideate and bring to life channel-specific concepts, such as custom blister packs and pallet programs for Club and Discount channels.
Tradeshow Leadership:
Manage and execute the brand's presence at key industry events (CES, Best Buy, Ace Hardware, Planet Fitness), ensuring booth strategy aligns with sales objectives.
Financial Stewardship ("Company-First Finance")
Cost Optimization:
Proactively identify cost‑saving opportunities in sourcing and packaging.
Asset Management:
Track and maintain the health of regional fixture programs, ensuring a high ROI on all physical retail investments.
Digital & Visual Excellence
Digital Shelf Management:
Standardize and optimize Product Detail Pages (PDP) for major accounts like Walmart.com and Target+, ensuring premium brand imagery and consistency.
Brand Advocacy:
Ensure every retail touchpoint—physical or digital—reflects Skullcandy's premium market positioning.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience:
5+ years in Marketing, Sales Operations, or Retail Project Management within the Consumer Electronics or Lifestyle Apparel space.
Execution Focus:
Proven track record of managing 500+ unit display rollouts and large‑scale tradeshow logistics.
Agility:
Ability to pivot quickly in a fast‑paced environment and manage a high volume of projects with a "decision tree" mentality.
Communication:
Exceptional "connector" skills; able to bridge the gap between creative designers and account managers.
