
International Tax Senior Manager- Global Mobility

My client, a Top-25 CPAand Advisory firm, is seeking an International Tax Senior Manager for their Global Mobility team. The position is based in Washington, DC and allows for a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). This position supports the firm's National Tax team, which in turn supports the broader tax practice.
YOUR ROLE. Responsibilities include but not limited to: As a Tax Senior Manager on our International Tax team, you will lead complex global mobility and expatriate tax engagements for multinational clients while serving as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams.
Lead and manage global expatriate tax compliance and consulting engagements for U.S. and foreign national employees
Review and sign U.S. individual income tax returns and advise on cross-border tax planning and risk mitigation
Serve as a strategic advisor on global mobility matters, including remote workforce (“Work from Anywhere”) initiatives, payroll, and withholding obligations
Oversee engagement economics, including budgeting, billing, and cash collection
Partner with firm leadership on pricing, engagement letters, and new-client onboarding
Advise on tax treaties, secondments, shadow payroll, tax equalization, and international assignment policies
Coordinate with overseas accounting firms and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless global solutions
Participate in business development initiatives, thought leadership, and firm-wide priority pursuits
Mentor and develop junior team members and serve as a Career Advisor
Support IRS filings and international reporting requirements, including offshore disclosures and FIRPTA matters
