Role Description Our boutique immigration law practice is seeking a highly experienced Senior Immigration Paralegal or Immigration Attorney with deep expertise in business immigration and consular processing worldwide.
This role requires a fully trained professional who can independently prepare complex immigration filings with minimal supervision. This is not a training position.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience handling E visa cases, L-1 petitions, family-based immigration cases, and adjustment of status filings.
This position requires someone who understands corporate immigration at a sophisticated level, including corporate ownership structures, financial documentation, and the preparation of detailed legal narratives explaining corporate relationships.
You will work directly with the attorney during client consultations and will be responsible for executing case strategy, organizing documentation, drafting legal support materials, and managing case follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage complex immigration filings, including:
E-1 / E-2 Treaty Trader & Investor visas
L-1 intracompany transferee petitions
Family-based petitions (I-130)
Consular processing cases worldwide
Adjustment of Status filings
Prepare complete visa submission packages for U.S. consulates globally
Draft support letters, petition narratives, and memoranda of law
Organize large petition packages and professional PDF filings
Conduct document collection and evidence preparation
Manage case follow-up and client communication
Attend Zoom consultations with the attorney
Take detailed meeting notes and prepare follow-up summaries for clients
Coordinate case timelines, documentation, and submission requirements
Work collaboratively with the attorney to ensure accurate and strategic filings
Corporate Law & Business Immigration Knowledge (Critical Requirement) This role requires strong knowledge of corporate law and business structures as they relate to immigration petitions. The successful candidate must be able to:
Analyze and interpret corporate ownership structures
Read and understand Articles of Incorporation / Articles of Organization
Review and analyze corporate financial statements
Identify corporate ownership and shareholder relationships
Understand equity ownership and share distributions
Clearly explain parent/subsidiary relationships
Draft concise narratives explaining corporate structures and control
Analyze organizational charts and ownership chains
Understand how corporate structures relate to immigration eligibility requirements
A candidate without strong corporate literacy will not succeed in this role.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of U.S. immigration law experience (10+ years strongly preferred)
Demonstrated expertise in:
Consular processing worldwide
E visa petitions
L-1 petitions
I-129 filings
Family immigration and adjustment of status
Ability to independently prepare complex immigration petitions
Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
Strong ability to draft clear and concise legal narratives
Experience working with corporate immigration matters
Ability to manage multiple cases autonomously
Technical Skills
Experience with Nutrient immigration software
Advanced PDF organization and document preparation
Comfortable working in remote legal environments
Strong case management and organizational skills
Work Structure
Fully remote position
Work schedule: Monday – Thursday
Direct collaboration with the managing attorney
High level of independence in case preparation and management
