What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects in target market segments
- Hunt, develop, and sign new customers, achieving annual contract values of $5M - $8M
- Lead sales pursuits, defining win criteria and ensuring competitive solutionsInterface with major customers to meet or exceed performance expectations
- Track prospective customer information using Salesforce.com and support marketing activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 10 years of proven outside sales success, with at least five years in the transportation sector
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field
- Ability to sell at least $5M in annual contract value
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM/sales automation applications
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Recent experience with final mile delivery and a network of shipper contacts in the sector
- Formally trained in strategic selling methodologies
- Strong background in sales presentations and successful closing techniques
- Creative and resourceful approach to problem-solving in a team environment
