We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive In-House Mortgage Processor to support our growing loan pipeline and help ensure smooth, on-time closings.
Position Overview The In-House Mortgage Processor will manage residential loan files from document collection through underwriting and closing preparation. This role works closely with the Loan Officer, borrowers, and third-party partners to ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and compliant.
This is a part-time role (15–25 hours per week) with flexibility based on pipeline volume.
Key Responsibilities
Review borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy
Request and follow up on required documentation from borrowers
Prepare and submit loan files to underwriting
Manage and clear underwriting conditions
Maintain accurate and compliant loan files within the LOS
Coordinate with title companies, insurance agents, and other third parties
Monitor timelines to ensure on-time closings
Communicate clearly with borrowers and referral partners regarding documentation needs
Support overall file flow and operational efficiency
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous mortgage processing experience preferred (1+ years ideal)
Strong knowledge of residential loan documentation (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA preferred)
Familiarity with AUS findings and underwriting conditions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with mortgage LOS systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
