Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Designer to join our Baton Rouge team.

Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements:

Occasional site visits required

Essential Functions:

Perform and complete detailed designs of civil/structural projects assigned.

Assist engineers and guide drafters within assigned projects.

Responsible for obtaining accurate field dimensions and drawing integrity for the project design.

Develop design configurations associated with the various systems that apply.

Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure continuity in deliverables.

Work with Lead Designers and Engineering to complete project deliverables.

Providing comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into the design.

Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.

Maintaining a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during project design.

Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.

Requirements:

Successful completion of Drafting from an accredited institution

5 - 10 years of professional working experience

Working experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3-D, and Advanced Steel

Ability to create C/S designs

Able to correlate survey data and spatial consistency

Field / Walk-down experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer

Preferred:

Advanced Steel knowledge helpful

Experience with laser scan processing

Previous experience in industrial facility experience
