
Technical Sales Representative

Overview
The Technical Sales Representative will drive revenue growth within an assigned geographic region by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for our electronic components. The ideal candidate will combine their existing sales acumen with technical knowledge of our products gained on-the-job to support our business partners throughout the design-in and procurement process. Job Responsibilities
Proactively seek, develop, and win new business within assigned territory to achieve or exceed sales targets. Retain and expand business with existing customers through regular communication and up-selling. Develop a thorough understanding of the customer’s business goals and our product line to match their needs to our existing and/or custom solutions. Coordinate, evaluate, and support independent sales representatives; provide technical assistance to OEM and distributor accounts through frequent contact and visits. Identify, implement, and maintain an effective sales management system (CRM). Keep senior leadership informed on market trends and territory performance, including opportunities, challenges, and recommended next steps. Participate in industry trade shows to promote products and strengthen customer relationships within the assigned region. Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales activity reports, market analyses, territory assessments, and expense documentation. Continuously improve technical and sales skills; stay current on company offerings, competitor activity, and market trends. Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree 2+ years of experience in technical sales. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with MS Office. Mechanical/technical aptitude; familiarity with interconnect component quoting a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications preferred. Willingness to travel regionally (~25-50%). Job Details
