JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Conduct cold calls and routine in-person visits within the assigned territory to generate new business while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Utilize agricultural production knowledge, including crop and livestock management practices, to identify producer needs and develop targeted solutions throughout Alaska.
Promote existing products and recommend new product opportunities based on market trends and customer feedback.
Prepare and present quotes, bids, pricing proposals, and contracts to secure customer purchase commitments.
Conduct sales presentations.
Generate weekly reporting, year-end analyses, and sales forecasts to monitor progress toward revenue and margin targets.
Track market trends and competitive activity to inform sales strategy.
Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continually develop new skills.
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in agribusiness and animal Husbandry, or agricultural sales.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 50 pounds.
Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College degree in business administration, agribusiness, animal science or nutrition (or related field), or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
SCHEDULE Full-time, 45 hours per week. Daily travel is required with up to 30% overnight trips. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $60,000.00 -$80,000/annually. Annual discretionary bonus based on goals. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
