Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to join our Animal Production team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while providing expert solutions in livestock nutrition, feed programs, and animal health products.
The ideal candidate understands the needs of livestock producers and is passionate about helping customers improve herd health, performance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a defined sales territory focused on livestock producers
- Promote and sell feed, mineral, and animal health products
- Provide on-farm consultations and tailored nutrition/health recommendations
- Build long-term relationships with ranchers, farmers, and producers
- Identify new business opportunities and grow market share
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability and service excellence
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and best practices
- Meet or exceed sales targets and margin goals
Qualifications
- Experience in livestock production, animal nutrition, or animal health sales preferred
- Strong knowledge of cattle, sheep, or other livestock systems
- Proven sales ability with a customer-first mindset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory
Preferred Experience
- Background in agriculture, animal science, or related field
- Prior experience in feed, veterinary supply, or agribusiness sales
- Established relationships within the local livestock community
